do this: watch the beyoncé documentary "life is but a dream"

So I am a huge fan of Beyoncé. OK maybe just a tad bit obsessed, but who wouldn’t be? She’s beautiful, talented and seems like the type of woman I would love to be friends with in real life.

When I saw that HBO would be showing a documentary about her life I couldn’t wait to see it. Earlier this week my close friends and I bought tickets to her show on her upcoming tour and this documentary was the icing on the cake.

I was already very excited for the show since I’ve never had the opportunity to see her live (her tickets sell out in seconds!) but after watching the special I’m even more impressed with the multi-talented Beyoncé.

The documentary gives us a glimpse in to the usually very private star and really emphasizes the hard work and dedication she puts into her craft. She also shows us a lot of private moments involving her family and friends. I loved seeing this other side of her, especially when she discusses her hubby Jay-Z and their baby, Blue Ivy. You could just see how truly happy she is but that she also recognizes her incredible blessings and good fortune. Granted, she didn’t make it this far only on good luck and she certainly seems like one of the hardest working performers in the industry and it shows!

Can’t wait to see what she has in store for us during her tour. If you have a chance to check out the film I highly recommend it.
