wear this: printed pants

My younger sister first turned me to the printed pants phenomenon a few months ago. I was unsure if I could pull off such a bold look but I purchased a pair of floral pants and it was love at first sight. Since then, I’ve amassed a few pairs (though my collection still doesn’t hold a candle to my sisters.)

I don’t normally shop at J.Crew, but when you walk in during a major sale, it’s almost a sin not to buy something (at least in my book it is.) The moment I saw the printed toothpick jean I knew they were going to have a new home in my closet. The amazing sale that brought the price down to $60 only further fueled my desire to buy them. In fact, the sale was so good I had to walk out of there before I did any more damage!

I spotted the hot pink sweater nearby (also heavily marked down!) and I had an outfit ready to go. Though my husband isn’t a fan of the look (what is it about guys not embracing our fashion trends ladies?) I was completely sold. You could dress these up for a fancy night out or make them even more casual than I did here. My verdict is in: printed pants are here to stay and I for one will definitely be rocking them. Will you?

tippi sweater/ j.crew | toothpick jean with geometric print/ j.crew (pants are unfortunately sold out similar styles here and here) | basic velvet slipper/ zara | wide bangle bracelet/ j.crew (they’re not for sale online but check your local store)

*While looking for the links to my fashion finds at j.crew I came across their factory website, had no idea this existed. Looks like it’s another place to get some great deals. I’m a sucker for sales so I know I’ll be checking it out!

Do these pants run small, large, or right on?

They run a bit small actually (at least for me!). I'm normally a 28 or 29 in jeans and these are a 30. I do wear a belt but the 28 wouldn't even get over my hips and they didn't have a 29 to try on so I went with the 30 and am glad I did. Hope this helps! 🙂
