We just got back from Costa Rica after attending a lovely wedding there and enjoying a week-long vacation. One of our nights was spent at the rehearsal dinner where I kept up my love for maxi dresses.
Remember a while back I linked to this dress? Well, true to form a few weeks later I bought it and am in love. It’s a bit loud and something I wouldn’t normally wear so I knew it would be the perfect dress to wear in a tropical destination. Also, despite the humidity the stripes are a clever camouflage if the heat starts getting to you (which it definitely did!)
With funky side cut outs and a sexy thigh slit, this maxi is a bit more interesting than a regular striped dress. The flattering cut includes shoulder pads, giving it a bit of an 80s feel but in a good way. Paired with a hot pink lip and strappy heels I was feeling great in this look. Clearly stripes are in because I was one of three ladies rocking them at the dinner. Luckily we all had a good laugh and took a group photo because as they say great minds think alike 🙂
