After a long absence from the world of blogging, I’m back with another installment of Luxury vs. Reality for all you budget-conscious fashionphiles out there.
The ubiquitous Valentino “Rockstud” pumps seen on every blogger, everywhere will run you only the low, low price of a thousand bucks. Now, this is all good if you are one of the lucky few who can afford these puppies but for the other 99 percent I’m pretty sure the much-more practical Sam Edelman “Ollie” pumps will be your shoe of choice.
I like the Rockstud pump, I really do. But once I started seeing them everywhere I found myself enjoying them less and less (and sure maybe their lack of affordability in my life may or may not have played a factor lol.) I’m no fashion expert but to me this seems to fall more in line with the “trend” shoe and not one you can safely wear 5-10 years from now. For me, the Sam Edelman pumps are a much smarter bang for your buck.
