wear this: light wash jeans

Though I love experimenting with color and prints when it comes to jeans, light acid wash jeans just screamed 80s to me — and not in a good way. I even made fun of my husband for a particular pair that I deemed too light for my taste.

Well, cue to today when I had to eat my words because I saw a pair at Nordstrom Rack and was surprised at how flattering it looked. And even more surprised to find out that apparently light wash jeans were all over the runway. (It’s even trendy for guys, sorry husband!) I have really got to start reading fashion magazines more often. But I digress, I guess the moral of the story is never say never!

I’m still experimenting with how to style this type of wash but I love the soft, slouchy shape (hello comfort!) and the welcome respite from my typical skinny jean go-to. I even had the occasion to wear a pair of wedges I haven’t worn in years (seriously note to self spring cleaning is in order) But overall, I’m really digging the style. What do you guys think? Too much 80s or a fresh spin on an old fave?
