do this: decorate an apartment in style

I’ve talked about my desire to decorate our apartment but also my hesitation with putting so much effort into a rental. But seeing this incredible home tour of the co-founder of one of my fave sites — The Everygirl — has got my head spinning. I can’t believe how amazing a one-bedroom apartment can look, it truly gives me hope that I can make our apartment a home and it will be worth every second.

Though I would move into Danielle’s apartment in a heartbeat I know the reality of living with a guy requires slightly different design plans. My husband is definitely not a fan of all the gold and girly details (I know, I know what is wrong with guys?!) so I would have to strike a balance between both of our design desires.

That said, seeing an apartment where so much thought was put into each detail has given me a lot to think about. Just because you live in a small place and may not live in it forever, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try and make it feel like yours.
