Self-care. This is a word you might be hearing a lot of lately right? While it may seem like it’s trending at the moment, at the end of the day it’s really a simple, universal concept. Taking the time out of your day to do something for you. As a mom, most of my time is spent focused on the needs of my children. And it’s a role I love and relish in, But I also want to take some time for myself, to be a better mama and wife. And silly as it may sound, for me brushing my teeth is a form of quick self-care. It’s a part of my evening routine, after the babies are in bed I come down, wash my face, moisturize and brush my teeth. Ah the simple pleasures am I right?! ha
But in all seriousness, I’d been using another brush for years and was not pleased to say the least. I’d go back and forth with a manual brush but always remembered that you can’t match the cleaning power of a good electric toothbrush. I was thrilled when Smile Brilliant approached me about trying out their toothbrush. I’d been on the hunt for a new one and couldn’t decide with all the ones I saw advertised so it came at the perfect moment. All I can say is game changer. For starters, it’s got 5 different brush settings. Who knew you could brush your teeth 5 different ways?! Well you can and honestly I felt the difference with each pulse setting (clean, white, massage, gum care and sensitive.) I also rely on coffee to get me through my days so I know that brushing is critical! I’ll be honest, some days it’ll be lunchtime before I realized I haven’t brushed my teeth. I know I know. (Insert horrified emoji here haha) but luckily, a quick two-minute brush with the cariPRO and I’m back in business. A problem I’d run into with other electric toothbrushes was all the icky buildup that would happen between the brush head and the brush itself. I’m so pleased that cariPRO doesn’t have those issues in the slightest. The material its made out of looks good, is comfortable to hold and is waterproof! This means that it’s super easy to keep clean and that’s a total win-win for this busy mama.

You can grab it for a quick weekend trip without worrying about bringing along the charger and I found that to be super helpful. I used to never take an electric toothbrush on trips and more often than not would end up forgetting a toothbrush entirely! But not anymore. Hmm let’s see what else is there, oh yes it removes up to 7 times more plaque than manually brushing, helps with gum health and can even help brighten your smile. (Coffee/wine drinkers like myself can rejoice!) All in all, it really is a great option if you’re in the market for a quality and affordable electric toothbrush.
